Obituary
"Boy Killed By Elevator ---
Yesterday afternoon about 6 o'clock, little Aldo, the 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Booth, of this city, was crushed to death by the elevator weights in the new First National Bank building. The little fellow was looking down the shaft from the window on the third floor, watching the painters who were painting the walls of the shaft from the top of the elevator car, when the car moved upward, lowering the counter-balance weights, which caught his head against the window sill, crushing his skull instantly. The head was so tightly wedged between the weights and the wall that the elevator was stopped and the weights had to be pried up with the timbers in order to extricate the body, which took about half an hour. The remains were taken to the undertaking parlors of S.C. Forman and prepared for burial. The funeral services were conducted at the home by Elder C.N. Wooten at 2:30 this afternoon, and the remains were laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery."
