Midge Salzman, 83, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home. Interment: Moore Memorial Garden, Arlington. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers: Ray Bissell, Louis Comparin, Dale Ford, Walt Paquette, Roland Salzman and Jack Vawter.
Memorials: Her memory may be honored with a gift to Harris Methodist of Fort Worth Auxiliary, 1301 Pennsylvania, Fort Worth 76104; or Community Hospice of Texas, 1111 Summit Ave., Fort Worth 76102.
Midge was born Jan. 6, 1925, in Quinlan. She graduated from North Side High School in 1942 and from Brantly Draughan Business School. She was a member of Meadowbrook United Methodist Church, Beta Sigma Phi, a Texas PTA lifemember and a 25-year volunteer for Harris Methodist Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors: Her husband of 57 years, Vern; children, DeDe Appleby and Julee Kilpatrick and her husband, Craig; grandchildren, Austin Appleby, Andrea Prescott and her husband, Michael, Ryan Appleby, Alaina Appleby, Connor Kilpatrick and Carter Kilpatrick; and great-granddaughter, Lillian Prescott.
