Steven M. Corbett, age 71, a lifelong resident of Elwood passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Elwood on February 6, 1951, the son of the late Frank and Ruth Corbett.
Steven will be remembered as an easy-going person who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He especially enjoyed having his daily cup of coffee with neighbors to catch up on their neighborhood news. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
Steven is survived by his lifelong partner, Diana Miller; sister, Vickie Beeman; son, Steven C. (wife Angie) Corbett; five step-children; Joey (wife Chris) Martin, Bobbie Miller, Robert (wife Heather) Miller, Danny (wife Ashley) Miller, and Mary Burkett; grandchildren, Gage and Ayden Corbett, Dillon, Victoria, Chance, and Trevor Martin, Kolton, Korben, and Braydon Slayton, Aye Drianne Anderson, Bayli and Brody Purnell, Robert Miller III, Scotty and Kameron Miller, Diana and Deanna Miller, Zoey Addison, Ashlyn Loyd, Shyra and Seth Purnell; great-grandchildren, Ezikiah Stephen, Abbryellah, and Evlynn Weddell, Amairlynn, and De'Andre Miller, Rainn Slayton, Rex Miller and Liam Coryell; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Along with his parents, Steven was preceded in death by siblings, Allen, Dallas, Pat, and Nancy; and a grandson Shane Purnell.
A celebration of Steven's life will be announced at a future date, and cremation will take place.
