Mrs. Bessie Perrin Dickerson Dunton, 69, of Augusta, Georgia went to be with her Lord, Monday, February 21, 2011. She was a spirited, loving, devoted wife, mother and friend who always put others' needs first. She cherished each and every moment shared with her family. Bessie retired from Medical College of Georgia. She enjoyed working in Student Affairs, encouraging and assisting the students. Bessie exemplified simplistic elegance. She was very detail oriented; presentation was vital and showed in each of her many talents.

Mrs. Dunton leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, David Dunton; two sisters, Wilhelmina Perrin and Catherine Brown Baker; children, Dealynn (Willie) Fryer, Reginald (Janet) Dickerson, Damian Dickerson, Angela (Nicholas) Christiansen, Michael Dickerson, Dianne (Quincy) Murphy, Deborah Smith and David Bernard Dunton; numerous loving grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Sabina and Antwonette.
