Mr. Watson Anderson, age 89, of Alma passed away October 26, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah after a brief illness. He was born March 29, 1933 in Coffee County to the late Jim Anderson and Beulah Day Anderson.

Mr. Watson was Partner of Matthew –Anderson Furniture and A & H Furniture for many years and was a long-time member of Friendship Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Avie Wylene Lee Anderson; son Randy Anderson, three brothers Clinton Anderson, J.L. Anderson and Roscoe Anderson and a sister Dorothy Graham. Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Anderson Carithers and Robert of Waverly and Jodi Anderson Lewis and Scott of Pooler; four grandchildren, Nicholas Castricone, IV, William and Graham Carithers and Logan Lewis; great-granddaughter, Eleanor Harper Castricone and a sister, Vivian Butler.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 31, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Miles and Rev. Charles Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday evening between 6 and 8 PM.

Active pallbearers will be: Roger Holland, Glenn Newberry, Lee Taylor, Don Cothern, Clyde Gruber, Tommy Taylor and Ricky Gilliard. Honorary pallbearers will be; Nicholas Castricone, IV, Logan Lewis, William and Graham Carithers, Hardee's Breakfast Club and Dr. Harrison Carter.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
