Virginia Rose Packebush, 90, of Partridge, died October 23, 2022, at Wesley Towers, Hutchinson. She was born December 16, 1931, in rural Partridge, to William and Sadie (Shaffer) Stiggins.

Virginia graduated from Partridge High School in 1949. She was married in 1950, to OJ "Pack" Packebush, in Partridge. Together they owned the Partridge Garage. Later they sold the garage and moved to the farm. They worked hard on the farm and made a great team. Virginia was a loving homemaker while her children were growing up. She was a servant at heart, as she was very involved in the church and community. Virginia was a passionate organist for the Partridge Community Church for 73 years. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Virginia made many memories for her family by taking them on fun filled adventures and trips.

Virginia and Pack shared 57 years of marriage before his passing on June 2, 2008.

Virginia is survived by: son, Randy Packebush, South Hutchinson; daughter, Annette Mathias (Randy), Partridge; daughter, Donna Schadler (Melvin), Geneseo; son, Steve Packebush (Kim), Wichita; grandchildren, Jamie Burns (Stoney), Matt and Nic Packebush, Sara Bieghler (Josh), Steven Mathias (Chelsey), Tim Mathias (Julie), Emily Fankhauser (Steven), Ryan Schadler (Madi), Christian and Rachel Packebush; 13 great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; infant daughter, Kathy Ann; brothers, Verl and Lynn Stiggins.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2022, at Partridge Community Church, Partridge, with Pastor Sheridan Irick officiating. Burial will follow in Partridge Cemetery, Partridge. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Partridge Community Church, Partridge, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
