He is the paternal grandson of Henry Kollock Nash & Mary Simpson of Hillsboro, Orange County, NC; and a direct descendant of Gov. Abner Nash & Mary Whiting Jones of Virginia. He was the maternal grandson of Rev. Joseph Blount Cheshire & Elizabeth Toole Parker of Tarboro.
He married Jacquelin Drane about 1931, daughter of Brent Skinner Drane and Florence Thomas. She was the great-granddaughter of Rev. Robert Brent Drane and Catherine C. Parker, who was daughter of Theophilus Parker and Mary Toole, early settlers of Tarboro.
The Nash's lived in Tarboro when he ran one of the Savings & Loans and was a Vestryman at Calvary Episcopal. Pembroke and Jacquelin had 5 known children: Annie Grey Cheshire Nash, Jacquelin Nash, Brent Nash, Florence Nash and Arabella Nash.
Pembroke died in 1994, just about 1 month shy of his 90th birthday. His wife passed ten years later in 2004 at age 93.
