Alba Jay "AJ" Bonham passed away on September 26, 2022. He was born in Erick, Oklahoma, on May 24, 1937, to Avil Marie "Ava" (Van Over) and Albert Clayton Bonham, the youngest of six children.

He was married to Linda Gail Maddoux in January 1960, in Sweetwater, OK; they divorced by December 1981. In 1982, he married Patricia C Orwig, in Albuquerque, NM.

"AJ" attended school in Delhi, OK, until he joined the US Navy in 1955. While in the Navy, he served aboard the USS Forrestal.

After the Navy, he returned to Delhi, OK, and attended Sayre Junior College, before transferring to Oklahoma State University. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1970.

"AJ's" work brought him to Albuquerque, NM, in 1971. He went to work for Incre-Data, then for EG&G (WASC, SP) until his retirement in 1998. He was heavily involved in Electro Magnetic Pulse testing of military aircraft along with a crew that tested for EMP around the world. After retirement from EG&G, he worked part time for Mission Research Corporation doing consulting work at NM Tech in Socorro and at Los Alamos National Laboratories.

"AJ" was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. After retirement, he developed a love for riding his bicycle, and would bicycle on old highway US 66 most days.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Avil Marie "Ava" (Van Over) and Albert Clayton Bonham; sister, Ruby Dell Guy; brothers, Ivan Clayton Bonham, Lee Roy Bonham, and Bobby Joe Bonham; niece, Juanita Carolina Lewis; and nephews, Martin C. Lewis, Johnny Guy, Mike Bonham; and and his beloved Rottweilers.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia; and sister, Jean Ambrose (Lowell); nieces: Donna Campbell, Barbara Moore, Charlotte Oates, Diana Savage, Darla Bonham, Peggie Martin, Vickie Bonham, and Susan Mitchell; nephews: Ron Bonham, Bruce Bonham, Eddie Guy, Monte Connelly, Jonnell Lewis; God-daughters, Elizabeth Spikes, Donita Correra and Cindy Ordonez Dozal; and his best buddy, Sparky.
