Lillian Marie Bartholomew, 92, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022 in Traverse City.
She was born on July 21, 1930, in Ashton, Michigan, the daughter of Carroll and Maxine (Waite) Bartholomew. She lived most of her life on the family farm in East Jordan. She married Everett Bartholomew on February 23, 1957, in Angola, Indiana.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary (Ken) Brown of Traverse City and Dawn Bartholomew of Oregon; four grandchildren, Larry Brown, Chad Brown, Nathaniel Popp and Carmen Bartholomew; one brother, Lynn "Bart" Bartholomew; a special friend, Nancy Eby; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Bartholomew; two step-sons, Chuck and John Bartholomew; her parents; one sister, Marilyn Hiser; three brothers, Frank, Norbert and Carroll, Jr.; grandparents, Rev. Scott and Olive Bartholomew, Hazel Wiley and Andrew Waite.
Lillian loved flowers and she and her husband raised gladiolas to share with family, friends and at church. She was active in the Antrim County 4-H for over 40 years.
Private services will be held in the future. Burial will be in Morehouse Cemetery, East Jordan.
The family wishes to thank the staff at French Manor Assisted Living and Hospice of Michigan for their kind care. In lieu of flowers, memorial can be given to Antrim County 4-H. The family was served by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan.
