Alice & her husband Bertram had moved to Holmes Hollow, Delhi from Hastings-on-Hudson in 1968. She & Bertram had lived in Hastings-on-Hudson for 22 years and prior to that they had started married life in Brooklyn where they lived for the first 20 years of their marriage.
Alice was predeceased by a daughter, Lois, and son, Bertram Nixon Jr, and four brothers. She was survived by a daughter in Colorado Springs; a daughter-in-law in Yonkers, NY; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Alice was of the Jehovah's Witness faith for more than 50 years & found comfort in the scriptures. She greatly enjoyed her home and garden & was an avid reader, puzzle solver.
Mr. Heinz Stevens, of the Hamden Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses officiated at her funeral. Arrangements were entrusted to the Hall & Peet Funeral Home, Delhi.
