Rosaline M. (Fluckiger) Glick was born on Thursday; April 22, 1920 in Monticello; Jones County, Iowa. She was the daughter of: John and Laura Fluckiger. Rose was an entrepreneur and friend to all. She always had a smile on her face for her customers and co-workers. She and her cousin were co-owners of South Side in the 50's, owner of Lindy's in the 60's finishing her culinary skills as the meal planner including food preparation for the Trinity Lutheran School system. When she retired Maynard and Rose would travel in the winter months to Texas where they made a lot of friends, and enjoyed escaping the cold winters of Iowa. With husband George the two spent many hours social dancing with their friends. Her hobbies included traveling, fishing and enjoying the casinos. Rosaline M. (Fluckiger) Glick, age 87, passed away on Tuesday; January 29, 2008, at the Banner Eldorado Hospice House in Gilbert; Maricopa County, Arizona after a short illness. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her son: Richard Sandy Glick of Hamilton, Illinois; her daughters: Betty Rodney Britcher of Gilbert, Arizona and Mary Ed Fry of Van Horne, Iowa. Her son: Michael Glick and fiancé, Leslie Hegwer of Venice, Florida and her sister: Lucille Sievers. Her twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren. Roseline was preceded in death by her husband: Maynard in 1992 and George Evans in 2003. May they rest in peace. May God bless her memory and give strength to those that mourn. Visitation will be from: 4:00 pm. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday; May 5, 2008 at the Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel in Cedar Rapids; Linn County, Iowa. Visitation will continue from: 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the church. Funeral services will begin at: 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday; May 6, 2008 also at the Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. Interment will be at the Sisley Grove Cemetery in Fairfax; Linn County, Iowa. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established by the family. The Cedar Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
