Mintie Banes') Blackwell. 46, who lived northeast of here, died unexpectedly at 4 p.m. Tuesday riding in the family car en-route home from a doctor's office at Earl Park. Mrs. Blackwell was in good health until she was stricken with an apparent virus infection several days earlier. She had gotten medicine at the doctors office, but became very ill in the car and died. Her husband, Carroll, was driving.

Born at Wolcott. she spent most of her life at Remington until the family moved to Benton County six years ago.

She was married to Mr. Blackwell in 1937 and was a member of the Christian Church.
Surviving with the husband are two sons, Larry of Fowler and Roger at home; five daughters, Mrs. George Snowberger of Wolcott and Barbara, Helen, Edith and Sue at home; a sister, Mrs. Eunice May of Remington, and a brother,
George Banes, Lafayette.
