VALPARAISO -- Robert W. Ritz, 80, of Valparaiso, died Friday, Feb. 15, 1991, at the Mary Bartz Hospice Center at Whispering Pines.
He was born Sept. 27, 1910, in Valparaiso, son of William and Anna (Anderson) Ritz. A lifelong city resident, he was a 1976 retiree of McGill Manufacturing Co., with 20 years as manager of the cost department and 25 years as manager of production control. He was a member of the McGill 30-Year Club.
On Dec. 6, 1934, in Valparaiso, he married Ellen Gast, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Loren of DeMotte; a sister, Mrs. John Middaugh of Michigan; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Jr.
Private services 11 a.m. Friday at Dykes Funeral Home; Rev. James D. Clark officiating; cremation; no visitation.
