"Married October 17, 1871 - James J. White, single, and Mary E. Whitehurst, single - James J. White, age 23, born in Currituck County, North Carolina and residing in Princess Anne County, Virginia, occupation Farmer, son of Jesse White and his wife, Elizabeth - Mary E. Whitehurst, age 17, born in and residing in Princess Anne County, Virginia, daughter of Tully H. Whitehurst and his wife, Nancy A."
