Mrs. Nellie B. Shriner, 81, formerly of N. Walnut St., died Tuesday morning at Hocking Valley Community Hospital after an extended illness.
Born April 18, 1902, in Orbiston, daughter of the late Charles and Mary Ann Amsley Brooks, she was a homemaker and wife of the late Earl D. Shriner, who died in 1966.
Surviving are two sons, Glendon and Robert E. Shriner, both of Logan; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Virginia Ledford of Smithfield, Va.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by six brothers, Roy, Harry, Howard, Charles, Herb, and Clarence Brooks, and a sister, Dorothy Before.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Heinlen-Brown Funeral Home, with the Rev. Craig Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home anytime after 2 p.m. today.
