Daughter of David Clow and Mary Ann Cascadan Marsh. The baby was named for her maternal grandmother, Nancy Ann Cascadan. At just 6 weeks old, she was taken westward by her parents in an ox wagon to Colorado. It was said that her mother was greatly worried because of the friendly interest the Indians took in the child, as she was one of the first white babies they had seen. The wagon train arrived in what is now Denver in June 1860. Anna had 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
In 1880, Anna married Edmond Mason Marsh. They had 5 children, 4 of whom survived her. During the marriage they moved to Georgia, then later returned to Colorado around 1910, living in Englewood, Colorado. In the last 11 years of her life, Mrs. Marsh lived with her daughter, Jessie Ditson. She passed away in the Ditson home on Littleton Broadway.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Ditson, Mrs. Effie Hunt of Englewood, and Mrs. Nell Cobb of Atlanta, and one son, Fred M. Marsh, of Atlanta. Also surviving her are 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the Hazard Mortuary on Monday afternoon at two o'clock and cremation was at Riverside Cemetery.
