Edward Hamilton Walker was born 1 May, 1870, son of John M. Walker and Celia Ann Allen Walker. He married Anna Mary Pate on 3 July, 1890, and they had 14 children together, with 9 of those surviving him. Well known in the Evansville, Indiana - Henderson, Kentucky area, he had owned a general store, pastored churches, and run a hotel in nearby Owensboro for a time - all before his early death.
