East Prairie, MO – Brenda Holdiness, age 76, passed away on September 16, 2022 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO.

She was born July 9, 1946 in Pinhook, Missouri, daughter of the late John "Fayette" Marshall and Mayme "Christine" Townsend Marshall.

She was married to Jimmy Holdiness who preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son, Lamar Holdiness of East Prairie, Missouri; one daughter, Summer (Anthony) Dunker of Sikeston, Missouri; two brothers, Ross (Alice) Marshall of Anniston, Missouri, and Dennis (Linda) Marshall of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; one sister, Joy Ivie of East Prairie, Missouri; and three grandchildren, Heidi, Brody, and Anabelle.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Marshall and John Marshall; and three sisters, Ruth Brown, Dorris Owens, and Judy Bowen.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Danny Marshall will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Anniston Cemetery in Anniston, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Dunker, Jim Spindle, Jim Dunman, Mike Jackson, Josh Boyer, and Justin Boswell.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Funding.
