Mrs. Calhoun's mother, Mrs. Emma Furman, who reached her 101st birthday April 19, 1951, makes her home with her daughter and son- in- law during the winter time. In the summer she lives in her own home near by. Mrs. Calhoun has tendery cared for her aged mother and has ever been mindful of her welfare and happiness since the death of her father in 1936.
Mrs. Calhoun, who was born in Detroit, taught school for several years, at one of the schools on East Ten Mile road where her mother had also taught when a young girl. Both Mr. and Mrs. Calhoun are members of the First Presbyterian Church of South Lyon. They are on a short trip for their anniversary.
