Ruth Tomlinson, 85, of Parks Township, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, in the Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Harrison. Born Dec. 3, 1921, in Dixonville, she was the daughter of the late Steele and Bertha (Lockard) Rowe, and had been a lifelong resident of the Kiski Valley. Ruth had attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Parks Township. She enjoyed reading, traveling, her "poseys" and spending time with her family. Survivors include two sons, Martin (Carol) Tomlinson, of Columbus, Ohio, and Daniel (Nancy) Tomlinson, of Kiski Township; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Tomlinson; and a brother, Jay Rowe. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the DUNMIRE-KERR FUNERAL HOME INC., 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. Private interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
