Dorothy Morgan, 73, of Robinson, passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, surrounded by her family at her residence. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Dr. Rodney Kruse officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery in Robinson. Visitation will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at the funeral home.
Dorothy Emelie was born in Otto, Texas, to the late Charlie and Selma Jahnky Papendorf. She graduated from Marlin High School in 1952. She married Joe E. Morgan Jr. on Sept. 20, 1957. Dorothy loved to cook, gardening, flowers and shrubery around the house, and playing with the dogs and cats that were always hungry. She loved her family dearly.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her brothers, Edmond and Henry Papendorf; and sisters, Ruby Mulsow and Edna Bolin.
Survivors include her husband of over 50 years, Joe E. Morgan, Jr., of Robinson; daughters, Lisa Reichel, of Robinson and Laura O'Brian and husband, Timothy, of Dallas; sons, Robert Morgan, of Austin, and Wayne Morgan and wife, Delinda, of Robinson; grandchildren, Jeremy Reichel, Tyler Morgan, Brianna Morgan, Travis Morgan, Megan Roy and Michael O'Brian; great-grandchildren, Aiden Roy and William Roy; sister, Alice Reichle; sister-in-law, Leona Papendorf; and a large extended family.
