Homer S. Cook, 48 well known and highly respected resident of Lamont died very suddenly on Thursday, August 18, 1932 of heart failure in the office of the County Superintendent of Highways at Warsaw. The news of his death came as a great shock to his family and friends. The deceased was born in Wethersfield June 1, 1884 the son of Fred Cook and Emma Charles. He was a graduate of Warsaw High School. In December, 1908 he was married to Marjorie F. Gannon. For 8 years he held the Office of Superintendent of Highway of the Town of Pike, also for many years a member of the Republican Town Committee. At the time of his death he was Assistant County Superintendent of Highways with the office in Warsaw. He is survived by his wife and 1 son Frederick Sewell; his father Fred Cook of Lamont and 1 brother Alvin Cook of Lamont. Funeral services which was largely attended and was held Sunday afternoon at his late home in Lamont. Rev. Joseph Freyer of Hermitage officiating. Burial was in Warsaw Cemetery the service being conducted by Oakland Lodge, F & A.M. of Castile, of which he was a member.
