Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Lucas 78 who passed away at 3:30 Saturday morning at her home.Services were held Monday afternoon at the baptist church at 230 with a Rev
W.E. Taylor in charge. Burial was in
Hosey Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Lucas was born in Norwood, Missouri., December 30 1859
and had been a resident of Weir for 38 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors are for sons, John Lucas of Norwood, Missouri, Peter Lucas of Oklahoma City, Loren Lucas and Galven Lucas of Weir,kansas,

Four daughters Mrs. Trickey Petty of Harper, Kansas. Mrs. Ray Smith of Florence,Colo., Mrs. Cleve Smith and Mrs. Paul Ross both of this city. 48 grandchildren, and 48 great grandchildren.

Mr. Lucas preceded her in death a number of years ago.

Mrs Lucas loved the association of her dear ones and was active in the affairs of her church as long as her health pemitted. Among the early residents of the community she liked two,converse of those days with her friends and neighbors who will miss her and the bereaved family have the sympathy of many friends over the district.
