One day many years ago one of my boys and his best friend had gotten lost in the woods. It was late fall and cold.
Everyone was searching for them (police, fire, Corp of Engineering etc). They were found safe the next day but the story they told us about "Lady" made a profound impact on everyone. They were huddled together trying to stay warm and out of nowhere this dog shows up, and curls up next to them. They said her body heat kept them warm all night and she stayed with them until they found their way back home. Once they got home she disappeared.
This same dog showed up a few days later when a mentally challenged young lady had gotten out of her house and tried to cross a busy street. Lady stopped this girl from trying to cross the street by stepping in front of the vehicle to protect her and was hit. Sadly the dog passed away. I firmly believe GOD sent this precious dog from heaven to protect our children that night.
