"Salamonia Cemetery" actually encompasses three cemeteries. The oldest section, East Park, is located on the east side of the road. The original name of the town and the cemetery was Lancaster. In 1876 the town's name was changed to Salamonia. West Park, directly across the road from East Park, was opened about 1885. In the early 1900's the large area abutting West Park to the west was designated Grandview. There is no physical division line between West Park and Grandview.

St. James Lutheran Church is located directly south of East Park Cemetery. It is the church Emma and her family attended when she was a child.

County Road 600 E separates East Park from West Park. Although it is convenient to drive through the relatively small section designated West Park to get to Grandview, the front and entrance to Grandview are actually on County Road 550 E. This sign is at the Grandview entrance.
