MRS. BENTON G. WOOD DIES IN HOSPITAL

Mrs. Maria Catherine Wood, 76, died on Saturday morning in Warren Memorial, where she had been a patient for a day. She was born in Warren County and was a daughter of the late Larry Figgins and Mrs. Amanda Henry Figgins. Her husband, Benton G. Wood, died several years ago.

Mrs. Wood is survived by two sons and two daughters: Russell Wood of Waterlick, Arthur Wood and Mrs. Irvin Sealock of Front Royal, and Mrs. Marvin Sealock of Buckton. Also surviving are two brothers and, four sisters; Jess Figgins of Louisa; Russell Figgins Mrs. Cordelius Robinson. Mrs. Harry Walthers and Mrs. Henry Sealock, of Front Royal; and Mrs. F. T. Darr of Shenandoah Junction, W. Va. Ten grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, in the First Baptist Church, of Front Royal, conducted by the Rev. Paul L. Stagg. Interment was in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were C. W. Baldwin, R. R. Griffith. Dr. E. L. Groubbs, Samuel Stickley, E. H Stokes and John M. Wine.
