Eunice first appears in the 1900 census for Mount Pleasant, Harlan County, Kentucky, residing with her mother. Both were boarders in the household of Leonard Blanton. Both Eunice and her mother are listed with the surname "Wax".

Eunice was a graduate of Miami university and of the School of Nursing and Health of the University of Cincinnati. She was a Red Cross Nurse in both Virginia and Ohio. She was a regular contributor of editorial letters to the Xenia, Ohio newspapers on such topics as health, welfare, and women's rights. Upon the death of her father's second wife, Sallie Ann Barron Bailey, Eunice contributed a letter and poem to the Big Stone Gap newspaper - ref. The Post (Big Stone Gap, Virginia) 7 Mar 1935, Thu, Page 6. (Sallie Ann Barron Bailey was the mother of Eunice's half-sister Margaret Janet Bailey Troy Hammond.) Eunice married as follows:

m1. William Floyd Morris, son of Alexander Morris and Eliza Eversole, on 8 Sep 1920 in Butler, Ohio. They divorced. She appears in the 1930 census for Milford, Ohio with husband William Morris and son "John B. Morris".

m2. Thomas Joseph Fitzsimmons, son of Bernard and Julia Fitzsimmons, on 4 Dec 1933 in Xenia, Greene County, Ohio. She filed for divorce and custody of son "John Bailey Fitzsimmons" on 8 Apr 1938 in Clovis, New Mexico.

m3. George W. Wood, son of John Wood and Josephine Williamson, in about 1938. In Sep 1938 she posted the following ad in the Times Record News (Wichita Falls, Texas) "Graduate nurse, son 12, wants job in refined home, anywhere, small wages. Eunice M. Bailey Wood, Box 182, Childress, Texas". Eunice appears in the 1940 census for Childress, Texas with George W. Wood and son "Robert Wood", noting residence in 1935 as Xenia, Ohio. She and George Wood later divorced. He appears in the 1950 census for Brownfield, Texas as divorced, living with his nephew.

30 Jun 1942 Eunice is listed as next of kin on the WWII draft for Robert Somerfield Bailey of Portales, New Mexico, b. 27 Aug 1923 in Louisville, Kentucky. She is listed as Mrs. E. B. Wood of Portales, New Mexico. (information provided by Find A Grave contributor DMS 48451547)
