Ethel passed away in the Palo Pinto General Hospital at 1:30 p.m. on April 30, 1973. At the time of her death her address that she had lived at for the last 8 months was 1006 N 7th St, Sayre, Oklahoma and was a widow. Her parents were listed as Unknown Rossan and Kate Calloway(sic). The Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home was charge of of her burial and was removed May 1, 1973 for burial in the Sayre(sic) Cemetery, Sayre(sic), Oklahoma.

Note: Ethel's Texas Death Certificate listed her maiden name as Rossan but her mother's 2nd marriage listed their surname as Rossen. Her death certificate also incorrectly listed her burial as being in the Sayre Cemetery. A Montague County, Texas birth certificate has been found that shows her parents were William Benson Rosson and Mary Katherine Callaway and the Rosson matches her headstone spelling too. The B.C. did not list a middle name. Not confirmed but Ethel may have been married to Lawrence W. Peters (1885 - 1962) buried in Sayre-Doxey Cemetery.
