EAST BERLIN Sherman B. Krall, 94, died Monday, January 28, 2008, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Mary H. (Hull) Krall, his wife of 69 years, who died January 20, 2006. He was born May 2, 1913, in York Co., the son of the late Benjamin and Mable (Gruver) Krall. He was a member of Zwingli U.C.C., East Berlin, where he was a past president of the consistory and a member of the Goldies. He was the last surviving charter member of the East Berlin Lions Club, where he was a past president and recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award, former mayor and council member in East Berlin, and served on the planning commission for the sewer in East Berlin. He also served on the East Berlin Union Cemetery Board, was a member and past president of the Manor Lodge Hunt Club, member and past president of the East Berlin Fire Co., and a life member of the East Berlin Fish & Game. He was also a member and past president of the East Berlin Senior Citizens He is survived by a son, Charles W. Krall and his wife, Vernice of East Berlin; five grandchildren, Deborah J. Messinger of East Berlin, Amy L. Beadle of Boyertown, Vera L. Krall of East Berlin, Daniel B. Krall of Dover, and Corey W. Krall of Charlottesville, Va.; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Laverne B. Krall. Burial will be in East Berlin Union Cemetery.
