Roy Palmer Ferrell

Roy Palmer Ferrell, 74, Route 1, Kingsport Highway, Surgoinsville died Friday (Sept. 13, 1991) at Indian Path Medical Center after an extended illness.

A native of Hawkins County, he retired from Washington Post after 10 years of service. He was a member of Howe's Chapel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Gertie Ferrell and a brother, Paul E. Ferrell.

Surviving are his wife Maxie Q. Ferrell; a son, Bart Howard Ferrell, Surgoinsville; two sisters, Carrie Davis and Lula Absher, both of Rogersville; four brothers, Carson Ferrell, Bill Ferrell and Earl Ferrell, all of Rogersville and George Ferrell, Bull Gap; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Broome Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne D. Ferrell and the Rev. Dale Ferrell.

Burial will be at Howe's Chapel Church Cemetery.
