Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 15, 2022, in Floral Memory Gardens, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Matthew Schluckebier and Rev. Lee Brandt officiating.
Born August 6, 1946, in Thomaston, Brenda was the daughter of the late Joseph Alfred Ellington and Sara Louise Cleveland Ellington. She worked for many years for Dick Thomas State Farm Insurance Company in Albany and enjoyed traveling to visit her family. More than anything she loved Jesus, her family and loved to worship her Lord and Savior. Brenda was a faithful member of Life Church of Leesburg where she served as a greeter and always had a beautiful smile for everyone who came through the doors. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend she will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gordon Apperson; son, Chris Apperson; and daughter, Donna Howard.
Survivors include her beloved husband, David "Dave" Lee Aumsbaugh, Sr. of Lee County; children, Angie Brooks and Mark of Americus, Gordon Apperson of Brunswick, David Aumsbaugh, Jr. and Mary of Camilla, and Dennis Aumsbaugh and Tina of Leesburg; siblings, Annette Morris and Bobby, Bill Ellington and Wanda, and Rick Morris and Debbie all of Darien; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, church family, and friends.
