Monk served in the United States Navy during World War II. On June 16, 1947, he married Shirley Hopp in Munger, Michigan.
Monk loved his Tigers. He also loved the fact that taking his dear Shirley to the casino made her happy. Monk will be remembered for his quick wit and his huge smile. He loved hunting, fishing and chasing rabbits with his hounds.
Clarence was predeceased by his wife, Shirley and 11 siblings.
