Funeral services for Viola "Vi" Tesky, 93, Aberdeen will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home with Pastor John Hisel officiating. Burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Vi died Wednesday, August 10, at Aberdeen Health and Rehab.
Visitation will be 3:00-7:00 pm, Monday with family present from 5:00-7:00 pm, at the Funeral Home.
Viola Dorothy Joachim was born on March 3, 1929, at Greenway, SD to John and Dorothy (Wagner) Joachim. She graduated from Eureka High School with the class of 1947. On August 19, 1947, she married Willard Tesky at Aberdeen. In 1953 they moved to Aberdeen where they raised their family. In 1968 she went to work for Control Data where she worked until she retired. Willie died on October 27, 2012, in Aberdeen. She continued to make Aberdeen her home.
Vi was a lifetime member of Calvary Baptist Church where she held many offices. She also was a member of the Ladies Aide and Sunday School Superintendent. They loved traveling across the US in their motorhome. She also loved to do word finds and coloring.
Grateful for having shared Viola's life are her children, Marjorie (Jim) Jensen, Mark (Angela) Tesky and Patty (Roger) Salo, twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding Viola in death are her husband, Willard Tesky, parents, John and Dorothy Joachim, five brothers and two sisters.
