Born Oct. 6, 1953, in New Kensington, to Mary (Muto) Abate and the late John Abate.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lina (Abate) Edmonds.
Louis was a member of Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, a Pursuivant at Masonic Bethel Lodge #789 of Lower Burrell, and vice president of the Home Association at the American Legion Post 868 of Lower Burrell. He also served our country as a sergeant in the Air Force. Louis had a great love for his mother, his family and his friends.
Louis survived by his mother, Mary (Muto) Abate; a niece, Emily (Jamison) Edmonds-Eveland; a great-nephew, Jamison Jr.; godson, Patrick Muto; goddaughter, Christina (Muto) Texter; and several cousins.
Entombment will be in Union Cemetery, Arnold, Pa.
