Larry Albert Bachman, 80 of Vernon, Texas died on Sunday, August 7, 2022, in Vernon, Texas.
Services will be Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Zion Lutheran Church under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Larry was born Wednesday, October 15, 1941 in Lockett, Texas, he was the son of the late Otto William Bachman, Sr. and the late Lydia Bertha Graf Bachman. He was a graduate of Lockett High School in 1960 and he was a graduate of Tarleton State, he was a member of the ROTC. He received his Master and Under Graduate from North Texas State University. He started teaching Industrial Art at Quanah High School and in 1970 he taught at Grapevine High School, he retired in 1993. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and he served on Zion BBQ and Sausage Committee. He was an avid hunter.
Larry is survived by his son, Jeff Bachman of Fort Worth, TX, daughter, Roxanne Foster of Arlington, TX. His grandchildren Madison Foster, Jourdan Bachman and Laurel Foster.
He is preceded in death by his brothers Otto Bachman, Jr., Robert W. Bachman, Dee Wayne Bachman and Heber Bachman, his sisters Nettie Heard, Madilyn Williams, Ella Fenton, Mary Ellen Chaffin and a granddaughter Mia Brooke Bachman.
Visitation will be Friday at 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to Cooks Children's Hospital in honor of Mia Brooke Bachman.
