Mr. Custard was born on March 26, 1909, in Mexico City, Missouri, the son of Andrew and Etta Custard. He married Lorna Ackermann on December 31, 1934, in Waterloo. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, and two sisters, May Derre of DeKalb, Illinois, and Mrs. Grace Trebil of Phoenix, Arizona.
