Mrs. Elizabeth Knight, wife of Aaron Knight, died yesterday evening at 3 o'clock p. m., at her residence on Vernon street, opposite First ward school-house. The funeral took place to-day at 2 p.m.. at the German Lutheran church. Services by the Rev. John Neutzel.

Mariah Elizabeth Knight was born in Hanover, Germany, A.D. 1837. In her sixth year she came with her parents to Columbus where she continued to reside up to the time of her death, which took place September 5th, 1878.
On the 10 day of May, 1870, she was happily united in marriage to Aaron Knight, with whom she spent eight years of happy wedded life.
As a daughter she was dutiful in the truest sense, honoring her father and mother, who to-day survive her to mourn their loss. As a sister she was self-sacrificing and while she lavished her love on her sisters, she fully shared theirs in return. As a mother she was doting and indulgent. As a wife she was affectionate and true. Her end was peaceful.
