Minnie was the daughter of Frederick Schulte and Elizabeth (Toburen) Schulte of Germany. She was married three times. Her first husband was John George Weiler, who was born in 1835 in Germany. John died between 1870 and 1873. John and Minnie were married on October 12, 1856 in Hamilton County, Ohio and they had at least five children together including: Anna, Frederick and John Weiler. Minnie married her second husband, Peter Fry (1812-1882), on February 4, 1880 in Bartholomew County, Indiana. She married her third husband, Amos Clark (1826-1907), on July 21, 1887 in Columbus, Bartholomew County, Indiana. They were divorced on January 8, 1896. Minnie was the mother of seven children including: Anna, Frederick J. and John G. Weiler.

The funeral was held from the residence Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, conducted by Dr. Alfred H. Pitkin, and burial was in the City cemetery."
