Mr. Bennett was born Dec. 3, 1893, in Shelby, Neb., where he spent his early years. He married Edna G. Longfellow on Sep. 6, 1913, in Shelby, where they lived following their marriage. They moved to Manson in 1938 where Mr. Bennett owned and operated an orchard for 20 years.
Surviving are his wife, Edna, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Willis (Wanda) Miller of Manson, Mrs. Marcelle Jones of Spokane, Mrs. Ernest (Marjorie) Barsten of Peshastin, and Mrs. George (Leola) Carberry, Jr. of Sulton; two sons, Wayne of Manson and Robert of Tacoma; a sister, Mrs. Everett (Emma) Smith of Manson; 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and three infant children.
