Commissioned second lieutenant, February 13, 1863, with
rank from Januar y 31, 1863, vice M . H . Bauseher promoted;
first lieutenant, October 15, 1863, with rank from September
19, 1863, vice A . Cooley promoted.

A member of G.A.R. post # 88 New York.

He applied for his pension October 31, 1904 as invalid App# 1,326,757 his widow Elizabeth applied for his pension March 24, 1922 from New York App# 1,186,832.
Pension states served with Co. D. 71st NY Militia Infantry and Co. E&K 156th NY Infantry.
