Delmar W. Clanton, 84, of Bettendorf Health Care Center, died Thursday at St. Luke's hospital, Davenport. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Halligan-McCabe Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today.
He retired in 1965 from Oscar Meyer Foods Corp. Mr. Clanton married Genevieve Rosswog in 1939 in Davenport. She died in 1980. He belonged to Packing House Workers Union. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse and Homemakers of Scott County.
Survivors include a sister, Marie Pepping, Phoenix; a brother, Logan, Bettendorf; and several nieces and nephews.
