William H Talley, of Chelan was killed yesterday afternoon in the logging woods in the Tarpiscan, district in the Kittitas county, south of Wenatchee. He was employed as a faller and died almost instantly when a falling tree, struck by one which he was cutting, hit him.
Talley was born June 19, 1908, in Nashoba, Oklahoma. In 1941, he came to Carlton and a year ago moved to Chelan. He was married to Millie L Walker Sept. 15, 1927, at Idabel, Okla. Surviving besides his widow are four children, Gertrude and Elizabeth, 16-year-old twins, George Elbert, 14; Clarence James, 12, six brothers, George of Hood River, Ore., John of Redlands, Calif., Hal, Waymon, and Jeff of Sherwood, Okla., and one sister, Mrs. Xmas Barrick of Cartwright, Okla.
