Isabell Irene Zimmerman
Mrs. Isabell Zimmerman, age 77, a resident to Gary, SD passed away suddenly at her home in Gary, March 15, 1983. Mrs. Zimmerman was born November 6, 1905 at Moritz, SD, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Judson Kenyon. At the age of five she moved with her parents to Gary where she grew up and attended the Gary Schools. She was united in marriage to Thomas Zimmerman May 24, 1922 in Gary, SD. After her marriage they lived several places including Dawson, Madison and Maynard, MN. She moved to Gary in 1969 where she continued to make her home until the time of her death.
She is survived by seven sons, Arlo of Boyden, IA; Melvin of Marshall, MN, Harvey of Hopkins, MN; Bobby of Minneapolis, MN; Alan of Redwood Falls, MN; Donald of Red Wing, MN and Gene of Delano, MN; six daughters, Mrs. Pauline Peterson of Bloomington, MN; Mrs. Robert (Lois) Keltner of Sauk Rapids, MN, Mrs. Alvin (Elaine) Schlenner of Maynard, MN; Mrs. Joyce Coulter of Maynard, MN, Mrs. Christopher (Charyl) Cherryhomes of Minneapolis and Mrs. Veit (Ruth) Bergner of Granite Falls, MN; thirty eight grandchildren and thirty Six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1953, her son Charles, four grandchildren, four brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services were held on March 18, 1983 at 2 pm from the United Methodist Church in Gary with the Rev. William Gran officiating.
