Vocalist. He will be remembered as a founding member and lead singer of the R&B vocal trio The Delfonics. After moving with his family to Philadelphia during his early youth, he formed The Delfonics while attending Overbook High School along with classmates Randy Cain and his younger brother Wilbert Hart. After signing with the Philly Groove label, they established themselves as a prominent group of "The Sound of Philadelphia" style and achieved immediate commercial success with the single "La- La- Means I Love You," which earned them a number 4 placing on the American Pop Charts in early 1968. In 1970, they scored a gold single with "Didn't I (Blow Your Mind This Time)" which secured a number 10 placing on the charts in the United States. Hart also had a solo career.
