Mrs. Josephine Muckinhaupt, 93, of 12806 Dicksonburg Rd., Conneautville, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. Josephine was born in Hayfield Twp. on January 17, 1923, the daughter of the late Earl and Maybelle (Taylor) Acker.

On September 20, 1940 Josephine married Ralph L. "Zeke" Muckinhaupt; he preceded her in death on August 26, 2000.

A homemaker, Josephine enjoyed crocheting, doing word searches and jig saw puzzles. Over the years she also enjoyed being with her beloved cats, Sassy and Pauley. A member of Hamlin Chapel, Josephine had recently been attending Norrisville United Methodist Church for the past five years.

Josephine is survived by two sons Robert Frank Muckinhaupt and his wife Brenda of WV, Charles Joseph Muckinhaupt and his wife Debbie of Meadville, two daughters Sandra Pash and her husband Ron of Conneautville, Judy Hanshew and her companion Brian Shinko of Meadville, 10 grandchildren 17 great grandchildren, eleven great great grandson, two sisters Elizabeth Fucci and her husband Frank of Warren, OH, Patricia Wybiral and her husband Walter of Amarillo, TX, two brothers Edward Acker and his wife Peg of Saegertown, Daniel Acker and his wife Bev both of Saegertown, a daughter in law Mary Muckinhaupt of Meadville, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Zeke of 59 years, Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, a son Ralph David Muckinhaupt, a grandson Brian Keith Muckinhaupt, a great grandson Ralph "Trey" David Muckinhaupt III, four brothers Frank, Paul and George Acker and an infant.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 1-3 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad Street, Saegertown, where Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM, with Rev. Russell Hines officiating. Josephine will be laid to rest next to her husband, Zeke, in Acker-Roger Cemetery, Hayfield Twp.
