Mrs. Allie West Kirkland, 98 years old of El Paso, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2008, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born Sunday, May 30, 1909 at El Paso to Joseph Darlin West and Lula (Bailey) West. Mrs. Kirkland was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Church of Christ at El Paso.
She is survived by two sons, Jessie Kirkland and wife Jean of Ward, William Kirkland and wife Janice of Cabot; one daughter, Lula Riley and husband Jerry of El Paso; longtime care giver, Edna Church; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lula West; step-mother, Sammy West; husband of 72 years, Troy Kirkland; one son, Bobby Dee Kirkland; one daughter, Troy Lee Moore; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Church of Christ in El Paso with interment to follow at Blasingame Cemetery.
