Betty Catherine Armstrong Coulter, age 89, of Springfield, KY passed away at 9:20 p.m., Sunday, July 3, 2022 at the Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. A native of Washington County, she was born on November 26, 1932 to the late Thomas B. & Oatney Dearinger Armstrong. She was a member of the Willisburg Baptist Church and a homemaker. Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles A. "Chig" Coulter on September 22, 2014; an infant son, Charles Rex Coulter on January 27, 1960; a granddaughter, Emily Catherine Coulter on July 14, 2004; three brothers, Weinton Armstrong on August 10, 1924, Haldon Armstrong on September 12, 2000 and Bernice Armstrong on October 8, 2006; and four sisters, Elizabeth Jane Armstrong on November 23, 1925, Emogene Jenkins on March 10, 1974, Lucille Sanders on December 23, 1995 and Ramie Bishop on January 30, 2002. Survivors include a son, Kevin Coulter (Margaret); two daughters, Cathy Clarkson (Danny) and Kim Miller (Joe) all of Springfield; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sue Satterly of Mt. Washington. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, July 8th at the Willisburg Baptist Church with Rev. J.W. Hatfield, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. John Bledsoe. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg. Visitation will be from 4- 8 p.m. Thursday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Friday morning at the Willisburg Baptist Church. Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
