Lucille Sanders, 78, died Saturday, December 23, 1995 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born January 29, 1917 in Washington County she was the daughter of the late Tom and Oatney Derringer Armstrong. She was a housewife, a member of the Burgin Baptist Church and the widow of William G. Sanders. Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Joe (Patsy) Keller, Harrodsburg, Mrs. Eddie (Peggy) Russell, Burgin and Mrs. Charlie (Linda) McDaniel, Lexington; two sons, William Max Sanders, Burgin, and James L. Sanders, Danville; three sisters, Ramie Bishop and Betty Coulter, both of Springfield, and Sue Satterly of Mt. Washington; two brothers, Bernice Armstrong, Mt. Sterling and Haldon Armstrong, Willisburg; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. One sister, Emogene Jenkins preceded her in death. Funeral Services were Tuesday, December 26 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with the Rev. John David Lay officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
