Elaine was born on Jan. 28, 1917 in Hinckley, Utah to Marion L. and Geneva Robinson Bishop. She married Lewis Valentine Pectol on June 21, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away in 1990 after celebrating 50 years of marriage. Elaine was raised in Hinckley with two sisters and two brothers, Deon, Maughn, Kay and Beverly. She attended Dixie College where she met her husband. Elaine lived in St. George most of her life where she and Lewis raised five children. Elaine had a love for music, especially the piano. She loved to sing and participated in choirs. Elaine has been active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life, serving in various positions. Elaine and Lewis gave much of their time serving in the St. George Temple, which she enjoyed very much. The gospel and her family were very important to her.
As mother's health declined, she spent several years living with her daughters. Prior to moving to the Kolob Care Center, she spent seven years in Logan, UT with her daughter Marilee Udy and family who gave her exceptional loving care.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008, at 12 noon at the Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 So. Bluff Street in St. George. A Viewing will be held prior to the Funeral from 10-11:30 a.m.
Interment will take place at the St. George Cemetery where Elaine will be laid to rest beside her loving husband.
