"Dell Tannehill, 76, of 6508 S. Brookside Drive, Pleasant Valley in Clay County, died Sunday at Liberty Hospital. He was born in Ocie, Mo., and had lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Tannehill was an inspector for the General Motors Corp. Assembly Division plant in the Leeds district 40 years before he retired in 1969. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Eunice E. Tannehill of the home; two sons, James E. Tannehill of Kansas City and Bill Tannehill of Liberty; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Power of Pleasant Valley; a brother, Truman Tannehill of Ocie; two sisters, Mrs. Georgia Blanton of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Velma Watson of Ava, Mo.; and six grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Newcomer White Chapel; burial in White Chapel Cemetery." The Kansas City Star, June 21, 1983
